DIY Sharpie Mugs

If you’re a Pinterest addict like me, I’m sure you’ve seen the DIY sharpie mugs. Easy-peasy draw, bake, sip in style. Yes, those ones. I’ve had them pinned for awhile yet, you know, on the to-do list. Well, when hot cocoa was mentioned for our photo shoot, I knew the exact mugs we would sip from!

You may have seen a peek of these nuggets on the latest My Week In Photos. Yep! Time to pull out the dollar store mugs and sharpie, turn up the oven and create away! Create personalized mugs in five easy steps.

diy-sharpie-mug-oven1. Wash and dry the mugs thoroughly.

2. Draw your designs. As extravagant or minimal as you’d like.

3. Place on baking pan in a cool oven. Turn the oven on to 350 degrees.

4. Once oven heats to 350, bake for 30 mins.

5. Turn oven off, leaving mugs in oven to cool to room temperature, about 20 mins.

I was a little weary of these mugs at the beginning. Really? Could they be that easy? I highly doubt it. Not any longer! These will become your right-hand man. Your go-to gift; catch all project. Heck, it’s hard not to fall in love with such an easy, fun and meaningful item! Make them for your wedding, as wedding favors or as a kid’s watch them grow project. There are way too many options for these mugs. So what are you waiting for?!
